Job Description
Green Mountain Unified School District is seeking a 0.5 FTE Math Interventionist to support student achievement at Cavendish Town Elementary School. This role provides targeted, research-based math interventions to students and collaborates closely with teachers and staff to improve math proficiency. The Interventionist works under the supervision of an intervention coordinator, special educator, or administrator while functioning with a high level of independence.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and identify students' math learning needs using formal and informal data.
Deliver targeted small group and individualized math interventions (push-in and pull-out).
Monitor, track, and document student progress to inform instruction and goal setting.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support math instruction through co-teaching and coaching.
Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Assist with administering assessments and collecting performance data.
Support student engagement, independence, and participation in learning.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and follow all district policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or relevant training in education, mathematics, or related field.
Experience in classroom teaching or math intervention preferred.
Strong background in data-driven instruction and progress monitoring.
Experience providing small group instruction.
Familiarity with
PNOA/ENOA
(preferred).
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
