Responsibilities Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate engaging activities including homework assistance, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and group games that promote social skills and teamwork Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive environment Coordinate with parents, staff, and other caregivers to communicate student progress and address any concerns Lead youth group activities that support personal growth, character development, and community involvement Enforce safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR/AED operation, and emergency response plans when necessary Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges through individualized attention and appropriate accommodations Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring roles Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Experience facilitating youth programs or extracurricular activities like theater, sports, or arts is highly valued Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or related safety training preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary Demonstrated ability to lead a team or work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality youth programming Outdoor work experience is a plus for supervising outdoor activities safely and effectively Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children can explore their interests while developing essential life skills.
