About the Role Are you an enthusiastic educator who loves culinary arts, nutrition, and interactive learning? Do you have a passion for inspiring young minds in the kitchen? We are looking for a dynamic, engaging, and versatile instructor to lead our premier after-school enrichment program for elementary students: Champion Chef . We are looking for an adaptable individual who can foster a love for cooking—inspiring young chefs, confident creators, and healthy eaters—while providing a meaningful, fun, and safe after-school experience! About Our Program Champion Chef Introduce elementary students to classic autumn ingredients like apples, pumpkins, and warm spices through engaging, fall-themed recipes. Guide students as they practice essential culinary techniques—such as measuring, stirring, and safe chopping—while preparing cozy seasonal dishes like no-bake pumpkin pies, apple pie snack cups, and veggie pinwheels. Inspire curiosity about food source and nutrition by teaching children about fall produce, harvest time, and seasonal abundance in an interactive classroom setting.

Qualifications and Skills The Personality:

A fun, high-energy, and engaging individual who can motivate and build trust with elementary-aged students after the school day ends.

The Background:

Experience in elementary education, culinary arts, nutrition, child development, or a related field.

The Mindset:

A passion for encouraging curiosity, kitchen safety, and teamwork while maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.

The Soft Skills:

Patience, empathy, adaptability, and top-notch communication skills with both kids and parents. Requirements Minimum 2 years of college education. At least 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged children (grades 1-5). Ability to confidently manage a classroom of up to 20 students. Must be able to pass background checks and a TB test. Reliable transportation to commute to Mill Valley, CA. Ability to lift and carry classroom/culinary supplies (approximately 20 lbs. occasionally).

Compensation & Schedule Rate:

$25.00 to $30.00 per hour
