Your leadership will help children develop essential skills, build confidence, and enjoy their after-school hours to the fullest. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Facilitate youth group activities, including arts, crafts, sports, and outdoor games to encourage teamwork and social skills Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and daily activities Follow all first aid protocols, including administering basic first aid or CPR when necessary to ensure child safety Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in accordance with best practices in special education Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp experience Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Ability to lead outdoor work activities safely and effectively in various weather conditions Experience facilitating youth programs or youth development initiatives with a focus on nurturing growth Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels young minds! Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 25.0 per week
