August 22, 2026 Position Overview St. Bridget School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Middle School Science Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a love of science while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that meets the needs of a diverse group of learners. Responsibilities Teach middle school science courses in alignment with school and diocesan curriculum standards. Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning. Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners, including students requiring additional support and those seeking enrichment. Utilize data and assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction. Foster a classroom culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and high expectations. Communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administration. Integrate Catholic values and teachings into classroom life and interactions. Participate fully in the life of the school community, including faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Connecticut teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of middle school science content and best instructional practices. Experience working with diverse learners and implementing differentiated instruction. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Ability to create positive relationships with staff, students and families. Preferred Qualifications Experience co-planning and collaborating with support staff, interventionists, or paraeducators. Familiarity with inclusive classroom practices and evidence-based intervention strategies. Experience using educational technology to enhance student learning. A practicing Catholic in good standing with the parish.
