POSITION

Per Diem Substitute Teacher

SCHOOL:

Districtwide

GENERAL DUTIES

Provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regularly assigned teacher. Follow lesson plans, maintain a safe and productive learning environment, manage student behavior, and comply with all district policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required in accordance with Connecticut substitute-teacher requirements; Connecticut teaching certification preferred. Candidates who do not hold a bachelor's degree may be considered only if eligible for an approved state waiver. Ability to work effectively with students and staff across grade levels. Strong communication, classroom-management, and organizational skills. Successful completion of all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.

SALARY:

$125 per day
