Afterschool Teacher.
KIDS CONNECTION LEARNING CENTER - 4.0
Deltona, FL Job Details Part-time $14 - $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Youth recreational activities facilitation Student supervision High school diploma or GED Performing background checks Full Job Description Join Our Family! We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable After-School Fun & Homework Coach to become a vital part of our afternoon program. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to be the bright spot in a child's day! You'll help our school-age children transition smoothly from their busy school day to a fun, supportive, and engaging afternoon environment. If you love kids and want to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply— no previous formal teaching experience is required!
What You'll Be Doing:
Your Impact Homework & Academic Support (The "Coach" Part) Be a supportive guide as children work on their daily homework. Your main goal is to encourage them and help them feel confident, not to be a private tutor. Create a calm, focused atmosphere where children can concentrate and complete their assignments. Celebrate their wins , big or small, and help them feel good about learning. Fun, Games & Engagement (The "Fun" Part) Lead exciting, simple activities that keep children engaged after their school day is done. Think creative crafts, fun group games, simple science experiments, and outdoor play. Spark creativity and imagination by facilitating play and providing opportunities for kids to explore new things. Keep the energy positive! Your enthusiasm is key to making the afternoon a memorable and happy time. Encourage great friendships and help children learn to play and work together nicely. Safety & Care (The "Family" Part) Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children in your care at all times. Their safety is always the top priority. Be a kind and patient role model. You'll help kids manage their feelings and navigate social situations with positive encouragement. Assist with daily routines like check-in and coordinating a warm goodbye during parent pick-up. You're ready to jump in, play games, and share a laugh!
Education:

Availability:
Must be consistently available during our program hours, typically [Insert Specific Program Hours, e.g., 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM] , Monday through Friday.
