We are seeking an energetic and experienced Part-Time Instructor to join our team! We provide an After School STEM Enrichment program using LEGO bricks throughout - Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties in NW Indiana . As a Part-Time Instructor, you will lead a class of elementary students (K-8), through the teaching of our proprietary comprehensive STEM educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming, fun learning environment and to provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, able to thrive in a fast paced environment, independent, reliable and have a passion for teaching K-8 students! This is not an entry level teaching position as classroom management experience is essential for success. Implement our proprietary curriculum that meets school standards Encourage the development of students' critical thinking skills Prepare in advance by building models and reviewing teaching materials Take attendance and account for all students whereabouts Guide students through positive feedback Reliability and accountability of scheduled classes Attend staff meetings Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications :

No teaching certification required Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred Understanding of child development principles, best practices in education and classroom management Strong organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances Thrive in a fast paced environment
