If so, we have a great opportunity for you. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the lead teacher is responsible for: Overseeing the site, the staff and the students The safety and well-being of students attending the program Maintaining site records and information Leading teachers and program counselors Communicating effectively with school staff, principal and parents Planning and leading monthly parent meetings and events Collecting data and information regarding student's progress
Schedule:
From end of school day to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, with meetings and event coverage on select evenings and weekends. Must be reliable, self-motivated and a good role model.
Working conditions include:
Ability to work in excess of a 20-hour week with irregular work hours. Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Ability to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. Bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking. Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate. Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time. Qualifications NC Teaching Certification in reading, math Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and one to two years related experience or training Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and cloud technology Experience working with children and a diverse community Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in English and Spanish (preferred) Share job details to
