Job Description

About the Role Are you passionate about helping kids navigate their emotions, build resilience, and develop strong interpersonal skills?

DaniLee's is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Instructor to lead our daily after-school programming. In this role, you won't just supervise; you will actively shape young minds by delivering engaging, impactful SEL lessons.

You will be the energy in the room, guiding both elementary and middle school-aged attendees through lessons that build empathy, self-regulation, and confidence.
Key Details Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00
PM Commitment:
September through the end of June (aligns with the academic school year)

DaniLee's Social Hub Key Responsibilities Deliver the
Curriculum:
Teach daily SEL lessons with enthusiasm, ensuring that the core objective of each lesson is clearly met and understood by all participants. Connect Activities to
Purpose:
Facilitate and lead core lesson hands-on activities, games, and discussions, ensuring they are directly and meaningfully connected to the day's SEL theme.
Facilitate Daily Rituals:
Lead high-energy opening rituals (e.g., dances, high-fives) and reflective closing rituals to establish consistent daily rhythms, build community, and set the tone for each session.
Differentiate and Engage:
Keep a diverse age group—ranging from energetic elementary students to developing middle schoolers—actively engaged, supported, and appropriately challenged. Direct the
Classroom Team:
Effectively delegate supportive needs and classroom management tasks to the Supervisor or Substitute on duty, while actively partnering with the Supervisor to ensure assessment data is accurately captured and organizational safety standards are maintained. Integrate Learning into
Play:
Skillfully weave SEL concepts and emotional coaching into "free play" and transition moments, turning informal interactions into valuable opportunities for skill development and reinforcement. Champion the
Mission:
Serve as a positive role model by embodying DaniLee's core values, language, and emotional intelligence strategies.
Assessment Reporting:
Own and verify final assessment scores by sitting with the Supervisor for 2 minutes at the end of each session, ensuring all metrics are fully and accurately documented.
Incident Reporting:
Promptly document and report any safety concerns, behavioral incidents, or injuries in alignment with organizational policy. Submit same-day incident reports if needed. Qualifications & Requirements Deep commitment and alignment with social-emotional learning principles and youth empowerment in addition to delivering the curriculum structure and flow. Proven experience teaching, coaching, or facilitating youth groups (experience working with both elementary and middle school age groups is highly preferred). Strong classroom management skills with the ability to pivot and adapt on the fly. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Reliable, punctual, and fully committed to the daily 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM schedule for the duration of the school year. Background-cleared.
