In this dual role, you will balance administrative oversight with daily program instruction. You will ensure program compliance, supervise staff, communicate with families, and lead engaging activities that create a safe, enriching environment for school-aged children. Start date August 24th, 2026 Program Administration & Leadership (Director Duties)
Operational Management :
Oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations, and maintain accurate attendance, health, and safety records.
Staff Supervision :
Hire, onboard, schedule, and mentor assistant teachers, volunteers, or program aides.
Family & School Communication :
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, school administration, and community partners.
Budget & Inventory :
Track program supply budgets, order materials, and manage student registration and billing records. Classroom Instruction & Care (Lead Teacher Duties)
Curriculum Delivery :
Design and implement daily activity plans, including homework help, STEM activities, arts and crafts, and structured recreational play.
Classroom Management :
Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment using proactive behavior management strategies.
Student Safety :
Actively supervise children during transitions, snack times, indoor program hours, and outdoor play.
Direct Engagement :
Lead group activities. Qualifications Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation preferred or willing to obtain upon hire Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions during outdoor activities Help create a lively, supportive environment where children thrive through engaging activities and caring guidance. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
