Position Summary:

Art Department Work Study student assists the Art Department with events, gallery sitting, social media accounts, and the maintenance of art studios. Up to 5-10 hours/week with occasional evening hours for special events.

Possible Duties and Responsibilities Include:

General Studio maintenance: Stocking, cleaning, organizing supplies, loading/unloading kilns, and tasks as assigned. Photo-document department events and activities for social media posts.

Gallery assistance:

assist with exhibit turnover by installing and/packing artwork, assist with lighting, and repair wall and pedestal wear and tear Documenting Permanent Art Collection and updating catalog Must be comfortable on light ladder use Moving supplies weighing up to 40 pounds. Maintain strong communication with Art Department faculty and staff Hanging exhibit/event posters around campus and/or community Related duties as assigned
