Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Instructor, who can teach any of the following instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, vocals, strings, any band anchors orchestra instruments, to inspire and cultivate a love for the arts among students of all ages. In this role, you will deliver engaging music lessons, develop comprehensive curricula, and foster a creative environment that encourages artistic expression. Your expertise will help students build their musical skills, confidence, and appreciation for the performing arts, while contributing to a vibrant community dedicated to artistic growth and exploration. Duties Design and implement innovative music curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of visual arts, performing arts, choreography, dance instruction, and instrumental performance. Lead engaging classroom sessions that promote active participation, creativity, and technical skill development in areas such as singing, instrument playing, theater performance, and dance. Manage classroom environments effectively by applying strong classroom management techniques to ensure a positive and respectful learning atmosphere. Provide individualized tutoring and mentorship to students, supporting their personal growth in music, theater, photography, sewing, culinary arts, or childhood development. Organize performances, recitals, or showcases that highlight student progress and foster confidence in their artistic abilities. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects that integrate multiple art forms like choreography with musical instruments or theater with visual arts. Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and curriculum adjustments while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children and youth programs teaching the arts or related fields such as theater, dance instruction, or visual arts. Strong background in curriculum development tailored to creative arts instruction across multiple disciplines including music theory, instrumental performance, choreography, or performing arts. Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Experience teaching visual & performing arts with a focus on engaging students through innovative methods like choreography or dance instruction. Knowledge of musical instruments and proficiency in teaching music fundamentals along with specialized skills in theater or creative arts projects. Familiarity with childhood development principles and techniques for nurturing artistic talent from beginner to advanced levels. Additional skills such as photography, sewing, culinary experience, or adult education are considered valuable assets for creating well-rounded programs.
