Tenure-Track Position in Philosophy Location Hillsdale, Michigan OpenDate Sep 11, 2026 Description Applications for an open-rank, tenure-track position inphilosophy beginning August 2027 are being accepted. Hillsdale College is a small (1500 students), fiercely independent Christian liberalarts college dedicated to the perpetuation of freedom through serious learning and moral formation. It is committed to the Westernintellectual tradition and requires genuine excellence in undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will offer three classes asemester, a load which typically includes two sections of the core "Western Philosophical Tradition" course. Additional teaching areas ofneed include European Philosophy, 1600-present; Kant; Philosophy of Mind; Metaphysics. Faculty are expected to display excellence inteaching and mentorship, dedication to the College's mission, and a commitment to scholarship, all in a growing, collegial department. Qualifications Ph. D. required by time of employment.
