Key Qualifications:
Valid California teaching credential required Experience or specialized training in Adaptive Physical Education strongly preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized Adaptive Physical Education instruction to students across multiple school sites Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs specific to physical education needs Assess student abilities and progress; document and report outcomes to relevant stakeholders Consult with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate effective inclusion strategies Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations Incorporate a variety of teaching methods to encourage participation and success for students with diverse abilities
