This position serves three non-public schools in the region, providing both makeup and regular instructional minutes, conducting assessments, and participating in IEP meetings. Your adaptive PE skills will directly impact the growth and confidence of students who benefit most from a customized approach to physical education.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid teaching certification in Adaptive Physical Education Specialized experience delivering PE instruction to students with disabilities in primary and secondary settings Proven ability to adapt physical education activities for individual capabilities Understanding of IEP development, participation, and compliance Strong assessment and documentation skills Excellent communication with multidisciplinary education teams Ability to travel between San Dimas, Pasadena, and Chino Hills as required

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and tailored APE instruction to small caseloads at three non-public schools Provide both make-up and regularly scheduled APE sessions Complete thorough assessments to inform student IEPs and instructional planning Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as a valued team member Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines Liaise with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students needs are met Commit to onsite presence onlyno virtual sessionsensuring hands-on guidance and participation This is a unique opportunity to make a difference across several campuses while working a 20 hour-per-week contract through May 2027.
