Qualifications and Experience:

Valid credential or certification as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (or equivalent) Experience delivering adaptive PE services in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with students of varied abilities Creative approach to instruction and classroom management Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students physical education needs and design adaptive programs tailored to individual abilities Implement and monitor progress of adaptive PE plans, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and family members Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records for IEP meetings Provide guidance and training to general education staff as needed Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development for all students through engaging activities Take the next step in inspiring students through adaptive physical education.
