$46-$53 per hour, based on experience

No more than 55 students Multiple School Sites Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Adaptive Physical Education (APE) SPED Teacher to support K-12 students at schools near Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience providing adaptive or remedial physical education services and working with students with exceptional needs. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' physical education goals and overall development. Responsibilities Provide adaptive and remedial physical education instruction to K-12 students. Develop and implement appropriate physical education activities based on individual student needs and abilities. Support students with disabilities and exceptional needs in accessing physical education. Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, and parents/guardians. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Apply current instructional practices and strategies related to adaptive physical education. Travel between multiple school sites as assigned. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Qualifications Required Valid California teaching credential/license appropriate for the position. Valid California Adaptive Physical Education credential/emphasis. Experience working with students with special needs. Ability to work effectively with teachers, school staff, students, and families. Valid California driver's license and ability to travel between assigned school sites. Preferred Experience teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels. Graduate-level coursework or additional training in special education and/or physical education.

Coursework or experience in:

Child growth and development Exceptional children Behavior modification Adaptive/remedial physical education Knowledge of current instructional trends and best practices in adaptive physical education.
