Job Description

Montessori Global Academy is seeking a dependable, energetic, and student-centered Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to support students' physical development, confidence, teamwork, and overall wellness. The PE Teacher will lead age-appropriate physical education activities that promote movement, coordination, fitness, cooperation, sportsmanship, and healthy habits in a safe and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate PE lessons for students across assigned age groups. Teach fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, and basic sports skills. Promote teamwork, cooperation, confidence, respect, sportsmanship, and positive peer interaction. Maintain active supervision and ensure student safety during all PE activities, transitions, and outdoor play. Adapt activities to meet students' developmental needs, abilities, and comfort levels. Set clear expectations for behavior, participation, safety, and care of equipment. Prepare, organize, maintain, and safely store PE equipment and materials. Communicate student concerns, injuries, behavioral issues, or safety needs to administration promptly. Collaborate respectfully with classroom teachers, administration, and staff to support a positive school environment. Follow all school policies, procedures, supervision expectations, and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Experience teaching or coaching children preferred. Strong classroom/group management skills. Ability to lead safe, structured, and engaging physical activities. CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Must meet all school and state background screening requirements.

SCHEDULE
TUESDAY:

11:30 AM - 3

PM FRIDAY:

1:30 PM - 3 PM Additional hours may be available depending on school's needs such as subsititue teaching and covering after-school.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 per week
