Private Christian PreK-12 School Upper Room Christian School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical fitness, youth development, and Christian education, and will enjoy creating a positive, encouraging environment where students of all ages can develop healthy habits, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Position Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate physical education classes for students in K-12th grade . Develop students' physical fitness, coordination, motor skills, and understanding of healthy lifestyles. Teach fundamental skills in a variety of sports, games, fitness activities, and recreational activities. Promote teamwork, cooperation, discipline, sportsmanship, and respect. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive gym environment. Adapt activities to accommodate students with varying abilities and skill levels. Organize and supervise physical education activities, assessments, and special events as appropriate. Maintain equipment and communicate any safety or facility concerns. Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development. Serve as a positive role model for students and contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred. Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience preferred. Experience working with children and/or adolescents. Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Ability to teach students across a wide range of ages and developmental levels. Commitment to creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. A willingness to support and uphold the school's Christian mission and values.
