Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\nDesign and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.\nEstablish a classroom environment where all students feel valued, challenged, and supported.\nIntegrate real-world applications and interdisciplinary connections to support authentic learning and transfer.\nUse culturally responsive instructional strategies that honor students' identities, experiences, and perspectives.\nUse formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.\nCommunicate effectively with families and caregivers as partners in student learning.\nEngage in continuous professional learning aligned to district priorities and instructional best practices.\nCollaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to improve instruction and student outcomes.\nMaintain accurate records related to instruction, assessment, and student progress.\nUphold district policies, professional ethics, and Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements.\nContribute positively to the school community and district culture.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n

Minimum Qualifications:

Reporting Relationships:

\nTeachers in WCASD report to school building administrators. Teachers in WCASD receive professional development and support from a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to curriculum supervisors, pupil services supervisors, and grade level and content level leaders. Regardless of their years of experience, teachers who are new to WCASD will participate in teacher induction, which is focused on how teacher looks specifically within our district.

Terms of Employment:

to 2027.pdf.\nStarting salaries are determined based on relevant experience, education, and internal equity, and are generally set below the midpoint of the salary range.\nProcess\nIndividuals are invited to apply to all positions in which they are interested.
