We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and visionary Center Director to lead the launch of a brand-new childcare and preschool center. This is a unique opportunity for an early childhood professional who wants to build something exceptional from the ground up. As Center Director, you will play a key role in establishing the culture, standards, systems, and day-to-day operations of our center. You will lead a team of educators and support staff, build strong relationships with families, help establish enrollment and retention strategies, and create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn and thrive. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that an outstanding childcare center is built on three things: exceptional care, a strong team, and trusting relationships with families. The ideal candidate is organized, confident, compassionate, and highly motivated. You should be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, developing people, and taking ownership of the center's success. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall launch and day-to-day operation of the childcare and preschool center. Establish and maintain a positive, nurturing, and professional center culture. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and supervise teachers and support staff. Build a strong team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Develop and maintain developmentally appropriate educational programs and classroom practices for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and other age groups served by the center. Ensure classrooms provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Monitor classroom quality and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to teachers. Ensure the center consistently meets or exceeds all applicable childcare licensing, health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain effective policies, procedures, and operational systems. Oversee staffing, scheduling, supplies, facility needs, and daily operational priorities. Help develop and manage the center's operating budget while maintaining responsible use of resources. Build strong relationships with parents and families through clear, responsive, and professional communication. Respond to parent questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment. Support enrollment growth through community outreach, tours, family engagement, and a strong reputation within the community. Conduct center tours and help prospective families understand our philosophy, programs, and approach to early childhood education. Monitor enrollment, staffing, classroom capacity, and operational needs to support sustainable growth. Maintain accurate records and documentation required for licensing and center operations. Address challenges proactively and create solutions that improve the experience for children, families, and staff. Establish a strong foundation for the center's long-term growth and success. What We're Looking For Previous leadership or administrative experience in an early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or similar setting. Experience supervising, coaching, and developing teachers and childcare staff. Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Experience working directly with young children in a classroom or early learning environment. Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, employees, and the surrounding community. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to lead by example and create a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where processes and systems are being built and improved. A genuine passion for early childhood education and creating a high-quality experience for children and families. This is more than a management position. You will have the opportunity to help build the center's culture from day one. You will have a meaningful voice in how we recruit and develop our team, structure our classrooms, engage with families, and create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. If you are an experienced early childhood leader who is excited by the opportunity to build a new center, develop a great team, and create something families can truly trust , we would love to hear from you.
