This is an exciting leadership opportunity to help oversee the After School Kindness, Inc. program at Loveland Classical Academy. As Co-Director, you'll help lead a quality after-school program serving approximately 25 Kindergarten through 6th grade children , build meaningful relationships with children and families, and create a fun, structured, engaging environment each afternoon. $18-$22/hour, depending on qualifications About After School Kindness After School Kindness, Inc. provides licensed after-school care for charter and private schools throughout Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor. Our programs combine academic support, enrichment, creativity, structure, and kindness while providing children with a safe and engaging place to spend their afternoons. Our goal is to create consistency for children by providing a dependable daily routine and a positive environment they can look forward to. What You'll Do As Co-Director, you'll help manage the daily operations of your site alongside two other childcare staff (site of 3) / 1 Director for every 10 students to ensure quality assurance.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising and engaging with school-age children in grades K-6 Checking children in and out using our electronic attendance systems Providing daily homework assistance and group tutoring Planning and leading age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and STEAM projects Creating a structured and consistent daily routine Promoting kindness, respect, cooperation, and positive behavior Building positive relationships with children, families, and school staff Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe program environment Assisting with licensing and site inspections as needed Completing required monthly professional development Occasionally providing support at another ASK location in an emergency when substitute staff are unavailable Program activities and materials are provided, while Directors are also encouraged to bring their own creativity and ideas to the program. What We're Looking For Candidates should: Love working with children ages 5-12 Be dependable and consistent with the schedule (off when the school is closed) Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be comfortable taking initiative and helping lead a program Have reliable transportation Be patient, positive, and adaptable Have previous experience working with school-age children Be comfortable communicating with parents and school staff Be willing to complete required childcare trainings and certifications First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration certifications are a plus. Training opportunities are available through our program nurse when needed.
