Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education community as a Daycare Director, where you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a safe, engaging environment for children. As the cornerstone of our center, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports childhood development. Your leadership will inspire staff, communicate effectively with parents, and uphold the highest standards of childcare excellence. Duties Manage daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Supervise and support teaching staff in delivering high-quality early childhood education aligned with developmental best practices. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Maintain compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, including mandated reporting laws and health and safety standards. Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing concerns promptly. Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development in areas such as child development instruction and classroom management. Ensure a safe environment by conducting routine safety checks, managing child supervision effectively, and maintaining first aid and CPR certifications for staff. Promote a positive team culture focused on caregiving excellence, behavior management strategies, and inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs. Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings. Demonstrated classroom experience with preschoolers, infants, toddlers, or children with special needs. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certification requirements (or willingness to obtain). Experience working with families to support child growth and development through effective parent communication. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
