In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive and develop. You will coordinate staff, manage classroom activities, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster strong communication with parents. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to early childhood education and childhood development, making a positive impact on young lives every day. Responsibilities Lead and supervise childcare staff, including teachers, assistants, and support personnel, ensuring high-quality care and education. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care programs. Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards such as first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and classroom safety protocols. Oversee classroom management to ensure a positive learning environment that encourages behavior management and social-emotional growth. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Manage daily center operations including enrollment procedures, staff scheduling, supply inventory, and record keeping for child supervision logs. Promote a collaborative team culture focused on childhood development best practices while supporting ongoing training in early childhood education and special education needs. Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings. Demonstrated classroom experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with disabilities. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare or daycare environment preferred. Knowledge of childhood development instruction techniques along with classroom management skills. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, health & safety regulations including first aid and CPR certification. Experience working with children requiring special education or behavioral management strategies is highly desirable.
