The Daycare Manager at St. John the Baptist School will oversee the daily operation of the St. John the Baptist Daycare program. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the students, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with state requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, have good interpersonal skills, and a commitment to upholding the values and mission of the Catholic Church.

Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. Staff Management Schedule staff each week, maintaining state required student/staff ratios and fill-in when needed Maintain staff records regarding required certifications and training Schedule required training for staff Business Operations Communicate daycare requirements and policies to parents Collect necessary forms and records from parents Complete and return state required paperwork and maintain all necessary forms such as sign-in/out, etc. Give facility tours Order and/or purchase supplies, including snacks

Marginal Functions :

Although not essential to the position, the individual may be asked to perform other duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

An individual qualified for this job must: Complete all state required certifications Complete Safe Environment Training on an annual basis, including a background check every five years

Qualifications :

An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or relevant certifications preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Practicing Catholic with a passion for being a disciple of Christ preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in daycare setting with ability to create and maintain order among children Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming, compassionate demeanor. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
