Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree including or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field. -AND- One Year of Full-Time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program AND two Year of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or a related field of work. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of daycare center operations, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and compliance with licensing regulations Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners through effective communication and support Ensure the safety and well-being of children by enforcing health and safety policies, conducting regular safety audits, and maintaining proper child supervision at all times Oversee classroom management to promote engaging learning experiences aligned with early childhood education standards Coordinate staff schedules, facilitate ongoing training in areas such as first aid, CPR, child development instruction, behavior management, and special education needs Monitor adherence to mandated reporting laws and ensure staff are trained on legal responsibilities related to child protection Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incident reports, developmental progress, and licensing documentation Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom experience and daycare center management Strong background in early childhood education principles, childhood development, infant care, toddler care, and preschool teaching methods Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive learning environments Knowledge of child supervision techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain) along with first aid training specific to childcare settings Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and needs Prior leadership or director experience in a childcare or daycare setting is a must Join us in creating a joyful space where children learn through play while feeling safe and supported.
