Look no further. Barrington School of Kingsdale (Upper Arlington) is a brand new center close to the new Upper Arlington Community Center. We are looking for a Center Director. We are a premier daycare center that maintains low student to teacher ratios, serves freshly prepared wholesome organic meals and offer many more services and amenities to differentiate ourselves from the pack. We are looking for a leader to grow the center from ground-up.
You have at least two years of experience as a Director leading a large center. OR
You have at least three years of experience as an Assistant Director leading a large center.
You can be "calm in storm" while facing staffing and other challenges that comes with the job.
You can maintain a positive attitude at all times towards the parents, teachers, owners.
You are reliable 100% (show up to work everyday, on time).
You have Bachelors degree and/or CDA. If you answer yes to all of the requirements above, please read on. Responsibilities and Duties Day to day operations
Ensure the center runs as a well-oiled machine every day.
Talent Acquisition
Proactively recruit top notch teachers.
Talent Retention
Retain top teachers by removing roadblocks for them.
Make sure the daily schedule is optimized for best service without overstaffing.
Step into the classroom for ratio as needed. Compliance
Our goals is to comply with all ODJFS rules at all times.
You will have thorough knowledge of all ODJFS rules, OCCRRA and OCLQS systems.
Conduct regular classroom inspections to make sure rules are followed.
Conduct Fire, Tornado, and lockdown drills.
Proactively prepare teachers and center for perfect ODJFS inspections.
Ensure we are always in compliance with Columbus Public Health (Food safety) rules and Columbus Fire Safety rules. Growth
You will be focused on growing the enrollments quickly.
Grow the center without compromising on compliance and quality while making sure the day
to-day operations are smooth. Financial Management
Manage payroll at 45% or below; Always look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Closely monitor food cost and other center expenses. Create and execute cost improvement plan.
MS Word and Excel skills are needed.
Create weekly and monthly financial reports for owners. Relationship Management
Children
Our #1 priority is to keep our children safe and happy. You will be spending time in the classroom, developing personal relationships with children and conducting regular classroom and playground inspections.
Parents
Second most important priority is to ensure parent satisfaction. You will always be touching base with parents to address their concerns before it becomes a concern.
Teachers
Third important priority for us is the well being of our teachers. You will develop great relationships with teachers and proactively removing roadblocks for the teachers.
Owners (Franchisee)
You will be an effective communicator to keep the owners informed at all times and seek out their help when necessary.
Franchisor
You will develop a positive relationship with Franchisor to make sure all Franchisor requirements are met.
Other Third Parties
You will also manage and communicate with multitude of vendors, city and state agencies. Other Requirements
Ability to handle crisis situations, especially relating to children.
Flexibility in work hours and assignment.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
A clean background check.
Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid.
Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances.
Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feed with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies. Benefits
A generous base pay of $50,000
60,000 based on experience.
A generous annual performance bonus $5,000
12,000; Performance bonus will be based on achieving personal and company goals.
Total compensation package (including bonus) $55,000
$75,000 based on experience and achieving performance goals.
