Program Manager -

Therapeutic Early Childhood/Center-Based Program Location:

Roseburg, Oregon (may include travel to Canyonville, Winston/Green, Glide, and Sutherlin)

Full-Time General Function The Program Manager provides supervision and support to teacher/interventionists in the therapeutic early childhood program and Outreach. Ensures compliance with Relief Nursery and state rules and standards. Assists Executive Director with and/or provides assistance to staff in crisis and emergency situations. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Program Oversight Actively participate in the agency's leadership team including weekly team meetings and monthly leadership meetings. Supervise staff in the development and implementation of the curriculum for the early childhood classroom and infant/toddler classrooms. Supervise staff in the assessment of family needs. Supervise staff in the development of goals for family service plans that are based on family needs, parent needs and child needs. Maintain knowledge of best practices. Coordinate the assessment of children enrolled in the Nursery. Assist the Executive Director in organizational planning and operations. Staff Supervision & Development Supervise and support assigned classroom and home visiting staff. Provide consistent written and verbal feedback on classroom dynamics, curriculum, home visiting, and documentation. Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching of new and current staff. Create and monitor individualized staff development and quality improvement plans. Compliance & Documentation Maintain comprehensive knowledge of: Department of Early Learning and Care licensing standards. Parent Relief Nursery Quality Assurance Standards. Monitor and support accurate documentation and data entry. Participate in a professional manor in required meetings, trainings, and community events. Additional Duties Support and supervise classroom volunteers in coordination with the Volunteer Coordinator. Attend workshops and conferences to remain up-to-date on best practices. Drive to service locations across Douglas County using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

Entry Requirements Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child/Family Development, Psychology, Family Services, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field.

Experience:

A combination of 4 years in Early Childhood Education, counseling, social work or related field. A combination of 4 years experience in both ECE classrooms and conducting home visits. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience working with parents of young children/clients in their home environments, and high risk populations preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of child development (birth to age six). Familiarity with child abuse indicators and prevention. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional manner. Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse, at-risk families. Computer literacy required. Bilingual and/or bi-cultural applicants strongly encouraged. Employment Requirements (Contingent Upon): Valid Oregon Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle. Proof of current auto insurance. Completion of the Department of Early Learning and Care Background Check. Clean 3-year DMV court print driving record.
