Monday to Friday About the Position The Seedpod Academy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Child Care Center Director to provide leadership for our early childhood education program in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. We are looking for a strong leader who shares our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and creating an environment where children, families, and educators thrive. The Center Director will provide overall leadership for the school and will be responsible for day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, staff leadership and development, curriculum oversight, family engagement, enrollment, and maintaining a positive and professional school culture. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of the daily operations of the childcare center. Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania childcare licensing requirements, OCDEL regulations, applicable Department of Education requirements, and health and safety standards. Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop teachers and support staff. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and classroom ratios. Conduct staff meetings, performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing professional development. Support the development and implementation of high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Promote a safe, nurturing, engaging, and child-centered learning environment. Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Communicate professionally and effectively with parents regarding school programs, policies, concerns, and children's development. Oversee enrollment, attendance, classroom placement, and related administrative processes. Maintain accurate child, staff, licensing, and compliance documentation. Lead Keystone STARS quality improvement initiatives and support advancement to higher STAR levels. Support Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements for applicable programs. Promote staff credentialing, professional development, and continuous learning. Work collaboratively with ownership to establish goals and continuously improve the quality and performance of the school. Help build a positive workplace culture focused on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement. Represent The Seedpod Academy professionally within the community. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, or a related field. Must meet Pennsylvania requirements to serve as a Child Care Center Director. Previous management or supervisory experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a related educational setting strongly preferred. Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices. Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare regulations and OCDEL requirements strongly preferred. Experience with Keystone STARS and quality improvement initiatives is highly desirable. Pennsylvania teaching certification or experience with Department of Education-regulated programs is a plus. Experience with curriculum development and implementation is preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold staff accountable while maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment. Comfortable working directly with families and addressing concerns professionally. Strong attention to compliance, documentation, safety, and operational details. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania background clearances and health and safety requirements.
