Treatment Director - Residential Treatment Center (RTC)

Up to $60,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Treatment Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for our Residential Treatment Center serving children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and treatment needs. The Treatment Director is responsible for the overall direction and management of the facility's treatment program and will ensure that treatment services are individualized, trauma-informed, properly documented, and delivered in accordance with Texas

requirements and the facility's treatment model. This individual will work closely with the Program Director, Licensed Child Care Administrator, therapists, LSOTPs, case management staff, nursing/medical staff, direct-care staff, families, caseworkers, and other members of each child's treatment team. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet Texas requirements for a Treatment Director and qualify through at least one of the following pathways: Be a psychiatrist or psychologist; OR Have a master's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and at least three years of experience providing treatment services to children with an emotional disorder, including at least one year of experience in a residential setting ; OR Be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and have at least three years of experience providing treatment services to children with an emotional disorder, including at least one year of experience in a residential setting . Candidates must also be able to successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, training, and other employment requirements applicable to a Texas residential child-care operation. Primary Responsibilities Provide overall clinical leadership, direction, and management of the facility's treatment program. Maintain clinical oversight of therapeutic interventions and services provided to residents. Ensure treatment services are individualized, trauma-informed, evidence-informed, and appropriate to each child's identified needs. Ensure treatment services are delivered in accordance with the organization's Evidence-Informed Treatment Model and applicable T3C requirements. Oversee the development, implementation, review, and modification of individualized treatment and service plans. Coordinate treatment planning with therapists, case managers, medical personnel, direct-care staff, families, caseworkers, and other members of the treatment team. Monitor each resident's progress toward identified treatment goals and recommend modifications when necessary. Provide clinical consultation regarding behavioral concerns, high-risk behaviors, crisis situations, special interventions, and treatment needs. Provide clinical guidance, consultation, and support to residential and direct-care staff. Participate in and provide leadership during treatment-team and service-planning meetings. Ensure required clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress documentation, reviews, and discharge-related documentation are completed accurately and within required timeframes. Participate in admission decisions and ensure admitted residents can be appropriately served within the facility's treatment program. Provide oversight and clinical input regarding transition and discharge planning. Participate in aftercare planning and coordinate with case management to support continuity of care following discharge. Collaborate with the resident's psychiatrist and medical team regarding behavioral-health and medication-related treatment needs. Collaborate with case management and other program staff to coordinate residents' medical, dental, behavioral health, educational, and other service needs, including appropriate utilization of STAR Health services. Supervise and coordinate the work of licensed clinical treatment professionals as applicable to the facility's programs. Provide appropriate oversight and supervision of LSOTP services and LSOTP staff when required by the facility's applicable T3C Sexual Aggression/Sexual Offender Service Package. Assist with clinical quality assurance, treatment-program evaluation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure treatment practices comply with Texas HHSC Minimum Standards, DFPS/T3C requirements, applicable contracts, facility policies, and professional standards. Participate in staff training related to trauma-informed care, treatment planning, behavioral interventions, crisis prevention, documentation, and other clinical topics. representatives, families, guardians, caseworkers, treatment providers, and community partners as necessary. Preferred Qualifications Current Texas clinical license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LMSW . Previous experience as a Treatment Director, Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, or similar leadership role in an RTC, GRO, behavioral-health, foster-care, or residential child-care setting. Experience working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders. Experience working with DFPS, SSCCs, Texas HHSC Child Care Regulation, or T3C requirements. Experience supervising therapists, LSOTPs, case managers, or other clinical professionals. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, treatment planning, crisis intervention, behavioral management, and clinical documentation. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on clinical leader who understands that successful residential treatment requires strong coordination between clinical services and the day-to-day residential environment. We are looking for someone who can build and maintain a strong treatment program, support staff, maintain regulatory compliance, provide appropriate clinical oversight, and ensure that each child's treatment is purposeful, measurable, and focused on long-term stability and success. Applicants should clearly identify their degree, current Texas professional license(s), total experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorders, and the amount of experience they have working in a residential setting.

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
