Job Description

Job Summary The First Baptist Christian Child Development Center is seeking a qualified Director to lead our childcare center into an exciting new season. This is an opportunity to help build the future of the CCDC, shaping its culture, strengthening its mission, and fostering an environment where children, families, and staff can flourish. The Director will provide leadership for educational excellence, operational success, staff development, and community engagement while partnering with the CCDC Leadership and FBCA to advance our shared mission. Educational Leadership Provide vision and leadership for a high-quality, early childhood education program. Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and continuous evaluation. Observe classrooms regularly and coach teachers to improve instructional quality. Promote innovation and best practices in early childhood education. Develop and implement an annual professional development plan for staff. Administrative & Financial Management Direct the day-to-day operations of the CCDC. Develop, monitor, and administer the annual operating budget in partnership withthe Board. Operate within the approved annual budget. Monitor enrollment, tuition revenue, payroll, purchasing, and operating expenses. Develop and maintain financial and operational policies and internal controls. Review financial reports monthly and recommend corrective actions whennecessary. Oversee purchasing, vendor relationships, and contracts. Human Resource Leadership Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise and evaluate staff. Maintain healthy staff retention. Lead staff meetings and foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture. Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Ensure compliance with employment laws and personnel policies. Mission & Culture Leadership Model leadership and uphold the mission, vision and values of FBCA and the CCDC. Cultivate a culture of hospitality, excellence, integrity, collaboration, and continuousimprovement. Lead by example in character, professionalism, and servant leadership. Family, Church & Community Engagement Serve as the primary liaison with families. Foster high parent satisfaction and effective communication systems. Collaborate with church staff to integrate the preschool into the ministry of FBCA. Represent the CCDC within the community. Compliance, Risk Management & Facilities Maintain Virginia licensing and accreditation standards with no major violations. Ensure compliance with DSS regulations and child protection requirements. Oversee emergency preparedness, risk management, inspections, and incidentreporting. Maintain safe, clean, and well-equipped classrooms, playgrounds, and facilities. Ensure all required records and reports are maintained accurately. Board Partnership Serve as advisor to the CCDC Board of Directors. Prepare monthly reports on finances, enrollment, staffing, licensing, and strategicinitiatives. Assist the Board in long-range planning and policy development. Support Board committees as requested. General Responsibilities Attend Board meetings and appropriate church staff meetings. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, personnel, and financialmatters. Perform other duties assigned by the CCDC Board. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development,Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in early childhoodeducation, including at least two years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, staff supervision, andorganizational leadership. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills. Commitment to the mission, vision and values of FBCA and CCDC. High integrity, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational skills.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
