We offer a quality education to children in our community and beyond. We offer an immersive Russian program, as well as an English speaking program. Our program is well rounded, with a focus on the whole child, offering visual and performing arts classes, foreign language, gardening, care of farm animals, academics, and much more. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond. Although most of the children in our English speaking program speak Russian, we are looking for an English speaking teacher who is ready to take on the challenge of preparing these kids for Kindergarten. Position:

Teacher Purpose:

To assist the director in maintaining a safe, healthy, happy, environment for the children in our care. To provide a quality educational environment suitable for preschool children to thrive in. To provide a kind loving relationship to further socio-emotional development in the children.

Line of Supervision:

The Preschool Teacher will answer to the CEO of AECEC and the Director of AECEC and the assistant director of AECEC. The Preschool Teacher oversees, Teachers Aids, and Volunteers.

Candidate Expectations:

Education and Experience

• 12 units ECE, including 12 units of ECE core classes, (including 1 course each, in Child family and community, Child development, and curriculum) OR Possession of Associate Teacher Permit or eligible for permit
• Experience in coordinating and implementing a preschool program
• Minimum 2 year experience in a licensed early childhood education or child development program
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds or up to four hours per day, stand and walk up to 6 hours per day, and sit in child-size chairs and on the floor or ground
• Required basic computer and app based proficiency Application Requirements
