Job Description

Position Available:
Preschool Co-Teacher The Preschool Co-Teacher will create and implement a nurturing and engaging learning environment for a class of approximately 16 students alongside existing Preschool Co-Teacher. This role focuses on curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessing student progress, while fostering strong communication with parents through daily conversations and semi-annual meetings. The Co-Teachers collaboratively ensure classroom safety and behavior guidance in alignment with child development best practices and school philosophy. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess and monitor student progress and development using written goal reports
  • Manage classroom environment and maintain safety standards
  • Communicate regularly with parents during daily exchanges and scheduled meetings
  • Guide and support positive behavior and social skill development using modeling and facilitation Required Qualifications
  • At least 16 units of ECE associated classes
  • Proficient in early childhood development, lesson planning, and classroom management
  • Proficient writing skills to update student goals
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Experience with early childhood behavior management and conflict resolution
  • CPR and First Aid Certification Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in early childhood education
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Position Details:
  • 38-40 hours/week (5 days: Monday-Friday)
  • $29-$33/hour based on education/experience
  • Option to Participate in CalSavers Retirement Program

  • Paid time off: One week Vacation time, one week Sick time, 11 Federal Holiday closures plus additional school closure days off (Wednesday before Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Winter Break, 1 week at Spring Break) for a total of almost 7 weeks paid time off.
  • Non-paid time off: July (school is closed)
Pay:
$29.00 - $33.00 per hour
