Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Preschool Teacher - Substitute / On-Call & Part-Time to join our vibrant early childhood education team in Orange. This role offers flexible scheduling to support our preschool programs, providing high-quality care and education to young learners. As a substitute or part-time teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes early childhood development and fosters a love of learning. Duties Implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development Manage classroom activities to foster positive behavior, classroom management, and child welfare Support children's emotional and developmental needs through individualized care and attention Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns about their child's well-being or development Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum enhancements tailored to early intervention and childhood development needs Document student progress using standardized testing methods and classroom observations to inform instruction and reporting requirements Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and behavior management strategies Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood welfare standards Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare First aid and CPR certification is required or obtainable upon hire; additional certifications in childhood development or literacy education are advantageous Previous experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners!
