Job Description

Infant Toddler Teacher Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Toddler Teacher to join Petaluma Village Preschool County West. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children during their critical early developmental stages. Your primary focus will be on supporting childhood development through engaging activities and personalized care, ensuring each child's emotional, social, and cognitive growth. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while working within a collaborative educational team. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development. Provide attentive supervision and care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety at all times. Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children. Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and daily experiences. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices in early childhood education. Support children in developing essential skills such as language, motor coordination, and socialization through play-based learning. Requirements Minimum 12 core ECE units plus 3 units of Infant/Toddler Prior teaching experience with young children, particularly infants and toddlers. Strong understanding of childhood development principles. Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanor suited for working with young children. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members. Ability to create a safe, stimulating environment conducive to early learning. Commitment to professional growth in early childhood education practices.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
