Serving our community for over 20 years, we provide each of our students a loving environment to grow academically and learn about our Savior Jesus Christ. The position offers hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Schedules are subject to change based on enrollment.
Qualifications:
Profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord Maintain a positive Christian testimony Adhere and uphold Westside Christian School's Employee Handbook Be an active member of a local, similar denomination Church High School Diploma or GED At minimum, 12 units in Early Childhood Education (Transcripts Required). The 12 units must include the following three courses: Curriculum Development, Child Development, and Child, Family and Community. Clearance of Mandated Reporter Training, CPR/First-Aid Certification, LiveScan completed through the DOJ and FBI, TB Test and Child Care Worker Health Screening Have a desire and understanding to teach Biblical values to students Communicate well with parents and staff
Job Responsibilities:
Teach students excellent academic, social, and spiritual skills. Lead students daily in Bible lessons and prayer Follow the curriculum provided and supplement when needed Have a positive attitude at all times for students, parents, and staff, and always maintain a professional demeanor Maintain an organized, clean classroom Prioritize class time for learning Assess student growth Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff Communicate with parents regularly Communicate with parents and teachers in a professional manner
