First Aid & CPR Requirement Online certifications are only accepted if they are obtained through a blended learning class, which is composed of an online portion and an instructor-led skills session, which is taught in person. Certificates must meet guidelines of the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Volunteer or paid clerical experience or work with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
