Job Description

Job Summary Schoolmates is an nature-based, Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool program serving families since 1991. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a collaborative and supportive team environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Support the mission, philosophy, and core values of our school Conduct assessments of child development progress and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to safeguard children's well-being at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction and early childhood education best practices. Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment that supports diverse learners. Effective communication skills for parent engagement and teamwork with colleagues. Ability to implement strategies that promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Pay:
