Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Engage with children through age-appropriate activities. Collaborate with colleagues to design individualized learning plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Monitor and assess student progress using standardized testing methods and provide feedback to parents and guardians regularly. Manage classroom logistics such as lesson planning, classroom organization, and maintaining a safe space for all children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and educational milestones. Experience Prior experience working in a VPK class Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and behavior management strategies. Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment for toddlers through preschool-aged students. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare settings to ensure child welfare and safety at all times. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
