Preschool Assistant pay is $15.90/hour, 12- 25 hours a week (School Year 2026-2027) All staff must pass a Level 2 Background screening. All staff will need to complete the Department of Children and Families Child Care trainings. Satellite Beach United Methodist Preschool needs teacher assistants in our two-year-old classes, three-year-old classes, and four-year-old classes. DCF training and CPR/First Aid training will be required per state requirements. SBUM Preschool follows the Brevard Public School calendar, and staff receive a discount for their students' tuition. Assistants are expected to work a few work days when school is not available for their student such as preplanning, post-planning, and any hurricane work days. Applicants must be available from 8am to 2pm Monday through Thursday and 8am to 12:30 on Fridays, which includes Before Care and Lunch Bunch. All assistants are expected to be willing to work in any age group. Number of days regularly scheduled is determined by the needs of the school year and may change through the year due to changing schedule needs. 5 Day Assistants typically work 20 -24 hours a week.
