Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development across infant to VPK levels. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Utilize classroom management strategies to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning space. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Incorporate best practices in early intervention and special education to support children with diverse needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certification requirements, are met. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education standards. Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Knowledge of child welfare policies and experience implementing physical education activities.
