Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in nurturing and guiding young children through their foundational developmental stages. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children during indoor and outdoor activities, maintaining vigilant child supervision at all times. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, and educational games. Support classroom management by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and creating an inviting learning environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, developmental progress, and any concerns, fostering strong parent-teacher relationships. Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and classroom instruction tailored to various age groups such as infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Follow mandated reporting laws to identify and report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately. Maintain current certifications in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all children. Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching strategies and collaborating with specialists when necessary. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, behavior management, and early childhood education best practices. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar childcare settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated classroom experience managing young children's behavior through positive reinforcement techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to support diverse learners effectively. Knowledge of childhood development milestones and early childhood education principles is essential for success in this role. Previous nannying or babysitting experience with infants and toddlers provides valuable caregiving skills applicable here. Familiarity with daycare center operations, including child supervision standards and classroom management strategies. Proven ability to communicate clearly with parents and team members while adhering to mandated reporting laws. Pay:
