Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Substitute Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will step into various classroom environments to provide high-quality care and engaging learning experiences for young children. Whether you're experienced in early childhood education or passionate about working with kids, your contribution will help create joyful and enriching days for our little learners. Duties Supervise children in a safe, caring environment, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including play, arts and crafts, and educational exercises Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to support a healthy learning space Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns Follow all safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and addressing minor behavioral issues Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine childcare tasks as needed Adhere to mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly Collaborate with full-time staff to ensure continuity of care and consistent educational practices Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure safety during emergencies Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Experience working within daycare center environments or similar childcare facilities is advantageous Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow!
