Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being through attentive child supervision and classroom management. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play-based instruction. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized classroom adhering to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices. Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child abuse or neglect. Incorporate child development instruction techniques and adapt activities to meet the individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special needs. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and childcare policies related to early childhood education and daycare operations. Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, demonstrating preparedness for emergencies. Support children's emotional regulation and behavior management through positive guidance strategies. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare center, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly valued. Demonstrated classroom experience managing groups of young children in educational settings or daycare environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience implementing child development instruction techniques. Familiarity with early childhood education best practices, including toddler care and infant care. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR (Child & Pediatric First Aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare setting. Ability to follow safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and behavior management strategies.
