Lead Infant Teacher

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead the care and development of children from birth to 12 months through nurturing interactions and activities that foster growth, curiosity, and exploration. You will help create a safe, warm, and responsive environment where infants can thrive physically, emotionally, and cognitively. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with families and staff to support each child's individual needs and promote best practices in infant care and early childhood education, while following DHS regulations and center policies. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with infants during play, feeding, nap times, and daily routines to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and development Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, daily experiences, and any concerns Provide responsive caregiving and support infants as they develop early social-emotional skills, communication, and independence Observe children's development and use those observations to help plan meaningful, age-appropriate experiences Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting requirements Requirements Must be 18 or older Experience working with infants in a daycare or early childhood education setting Background in special education or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to safely supervise and care for infants Dependable, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children Why Join Us? Pay:
From $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
