Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Responsibilities Implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging experiences for toddlers and preschoolers alike. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through clear and compassionate updates. Apply behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and address behavioral challenges constructively. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety. Lead classroom team efforts by supervising assistant teachers or aides, providing mentorship, and fostering professional growth. Maintain detailed records of child development progress, assessments, and standardized testing results to inform instructional planning. Incorporate specialized knowledge such as special education techniques or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Uphold health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and implementing health protocols diligently. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum implementation tailored for preschool-aged children, including literacy education and math instruction. Strong background in classroom management, behavior management, and child development instruction. Experience teaching physical education or facilitating active learning experiences for young children. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures. Prior experience collaborating with parents to support children's educational journeys and developmental goals. Knowledge of special education practices or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required or must be attained after hire; ongoing professional development in childhood education is preferred. $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
