Responsibilities Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental milestones and educational standards. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Ensure all staff adhere to mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child supervision protocols. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates. Manage classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment conducive to growth and exploration. Oversee staff scheduling, training, and ongoing professional development in early childhood education best practices. Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements for daycare center operations and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Foster a collaborative team atmosphere that encourages continuous improvement in teaching methods and caregiving practices. Support children with special needs or disabilities through individualized care plans and specialized teaching strategies. Promote safe caregiving practices by supervising children at all times during activities, transitions, and outdoor play. Qualifications Valid director or lead teacher certification/license in early childhood education or equivalent credentials. Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of childcare professionals with effective communication skills. Experience working within daycare centers or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect is essential. Current certifications in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and health & safety standards required. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster curiosity and learning while ensuring child safety at all times. Pay:
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
