Full Job Description Infant & Toddler Teacher Gioiosa Montessori Preschool Roeland Park, KS Pay:
Starting at $16/hour, raise at 90 days and 12 months
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM-5:30 PM) with a rotating weekday off Gioiosa Montessori is seeking two Infant & Toddler Teachers to work with children approximately 6 months to 2 years old. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, attentive, and enjoys building relationships with children across different stages of early development. Flexibility, teamwork, and strong observational skills are essential. Responsibilities Meet all state licensing requirements and classroom standards Implement company policies and procedures consistently Provide responsive, nurturing care for infants and toddlers Support children's physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development through everyday interactions Implement lesson plans and developmentally appropriate activities Use Brightwheel to document student information, daily care, observations, incidents, and parent communication Observe children's development and communicate milestones or concerns with coworkers and management Maintain strong situational awareness and actively supervise children at all times Prioritize responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced classroom environment Demonstrate strong time management and multitasking skills while responding to the changing needs of young children Follow Montessori principles by encouraging independence, respectful interactions, and hands-on learning opportunities appropriate for each child's developmental stage Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers Maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments Qualifications Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or educational setting Understanding of early childhood development, particularly during the first two years of life Ability to adapt quickly to classrooms, routines, and age groups Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive throughout the day Commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for young children What We're Looking For This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative environment.
