Job Description

Ocean House on the Farm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher for our toddler classroom, serving children between 1 and 2 years old. We are a well-established child care center focused on creating a supportive and consistent environment for both children and staff.
Position Overview:
The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the classroom, supporting the developmental needs of children ages 1-2, and working collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a classroom in a nurturing, structured setting Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom Communicate effectively with families and team members Support and guide assistant teachers Maintain compliance with Maine licensing regulations
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a lead teaching role preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
